The Current Economic Times in Nigeria
Times are hard has become a common phrase in Nigeria, being the largest economy in Africa and 21st largest economy in the world in terms of nominal GDP is a theoretical terms that is not felt in the practical living conditions of Nigerians.
The economic times in Nigeria is sickening, Nigeria is having serious economic meltdown. Price of crude oil is dropping, the government is missing in responsibilities, companies are shutting down, people are losing their jobs, workers who managed to remain employed are struggling to accept their salaries in downward review and the near future does not project well for the Nigerian economy.

Twisted loyalties
Loyalty is a rare quality to come by and partly because of this, some may even dare to call it a virtue. Being loyal is hardly ever a bad thing as even blind loyalty can be a beautiful thing depending on the point of view we choose to judge from (like mine for example…lol). It becomes a difficult choice, however, when we are forced to choose between our safety and/or freedom in the name of loyalty to friends or loved ones. One perhaps made even more difficult if we had to put our right to self preservation aside to stand up for someone knowing fully well we are defending the act of a misdeed.
Loyalty is the demonstration of constant unflinching and undivided belief and support for a person or a thing. We all have a few people in our lives whom we are either loyal to, or expect a degree of loyalty from. With friends and family, as much or more loyalty is almost always expected as a payback for loyalty. Not really confusing. It just means that friends and families always expect unflinching and undivided support from you for as much of the time as possible. It’s not much to ask of a cohort but at a point it does become just that.

FACTS AND FIGURES! How Well Has President Muhammadu Buhari Fared So Far?
Half a year onward from the historic inauguration of General Muhammadu Buhari as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria after an electoral process which was a manifestation of the will of Nigerians to opt for change, our analyst assesses the steps being taken by the Buhari administration to remedy a nation in dire need of rebuild in many aspects. Working with the presidential campaign promises of the All Progressing Congress and the President’s actions in his first few months in office, how confident should Nigerians be that they indeed made the right choice in the April 2015 presidential polls?
With over 180million inhabitants, Nigeria is easily the most populated nation in Africa and the most populated black nation in the world. Thus, by implication there is no other nation in Africa or dominated by blacks which can boast of 70% of Nigeria’s workforce.
What we asked for

Paris Attack and African Fraternity
With the recent castigation of the western media and
African citizens by their peers for appearing to display more compassion for
the victims of Paris attacks than to the scores of people perpetually slain by
constant terrorist attacks in Africa and the Middle-East, we take a deeper look
into where the real blame may lie.
Freedom,
Equality and Fraternity. They sound like three encouraging words in these
trying times we now witness as each and every free willed person amongst us is
forced into the recently dubbed ‘war against terrorism’. Coined in the late 18th
century during the times of the French revolution simply as one amongst many
revolutionary slogans, these words (Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité)
have grown to associate themselves with the Republic of France and are now
associated with the colours of the French national flag. These words would
inspire the building of a great nation in the aftermath of the revolution.
Either that, or they’re just a bunch of words.
After the very
recent Paris attacks, the world was left in shock. Or at least Paris was. But
then world leaders condemned the attacks, few of them seized the opportunity to
show-off their mastery of the French language in their public addresses. Monuments,
statues and famous buildings were illuminated in the colours of the French
national flag as a sign of solidarity. Candles were lit in the streets of Paris
amidst swift response to the tragedy. The manhunt for the perpetrators was fast
underway as a three-day mourning period was declared by President Francois
Hollande. The media went crazy and of course the social media, almost
expectedly went frantic.

Giving Your Heart to what you do
Sometimes your heart is all you have to live on, and giving it away to what you do maybe your only chance of advancement.
If you want to advance in your career or enterprise, there is a price you must pay at some point to achieve success which is personal.
Your heart maybe a pittance of the lowliest. But, when given, it becomes the greatest offering of all time.

Why do Nigerians find it difficult to follow instructions?
Sometimes you do as they say... |
I wonder why some people ignore the little details and expect you to figure them out.
You ask Nigerians to follow the main road, they will look for short-cut and miss all the signs on the main road.
Recently, I posted a job vacancy on 234 Jam Blog, 94% of the applicants where Nigerians and about 15% of them who performed wonderfully missed a very simple but important detail.

Married Husbands [A Rising Threat to Dignity of Men]
In Nigeria where I come from, men have always had the upper hand in society. They work along their desired path to success, achieve success, build a career for themselves and then settle with a woman whom would be their wife.
There is a new trend in town. A band of men are flocking around town, all of them happily married by their wives. This is a threat to an age long tradition that we adore and it has nothing to do with the emancipation of woman.

7 Career Opportunities for Nigerian Entrepreneurs in Fish Farming
Fish Farming (Aquaculture) is the art and science of controlled rearing of fish in ponds, farms and in some cases natural water bodies from hatchlings (freshly hatched fishes) to table size fishs.
Fish farming is a common practice in Nigeria that is gradually gaining wide acceptance as a result of the ease with which fish can be cultured within a short period of time to get maximum yield and profit.

Can We Speak on Sickle Cell Awareness in Nigeria?
Sickle Cell is a condition that causes red blood cells to take on a crescent-shaped, similar to curved blade of a sickle, inhibiting proper use of iron and oxygen in the blood and causing severe pain and even death.
September is the month for Sickle Cell Awareness. Yet little is being done to raise awareness for Sickle Cell in Nigeria.
The silent treatment giving to the prevalence of Sickle Cell Disease in Nigeria is unjustifiable.
