#Dasukigate Ex-Chief of Air Staff Arrested by EFCC


Nigeria’s former Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Adesola Amosu, has been arrested and detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of massive fraud that characterized arms procurement during his tenure with the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (retd).

The #DasukiGate campaigne is gaining more height in the current administration's drive to fight corruption.

Today! Dasuki Runs to ECOWAS, Metuh Remain in Cuffs

Former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (retd), Drags FG to ECOWAS Court, Demands N500m Damages Over His Continued Detention.



In the suit filed by his lawyer, Robert Emukpoeruo, the former NSA is urging the court to declare among others, that his continued detention in defiance of orders for his bail granted by three courts, and after fulfilling the bail conditions, was “unlawful, arbitrary and an egregious violation” of his human rights.

FIRM DRAGS PDP TO COURT OVER JONATHAN CAMPAIGN’S N360M DEBT




‎An Abuja-based firm, Twinkle Nigeria Limited, has dragged the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and some of the party’s 2015 presidential campaign committee members before a Federal High Court in Maitama Abuja over alleged failure to pay a N350m debt it accrued as a result of business transaction.

Femi Falana, counsel to the firm alleged that its services were engaged by the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation to “beautify and decorate” the campaign venues used by former President, Goodluck Jonathan as PDP presidential candidate during the 2015 electioneering period.

OSUN SACKS 141 POLY, COLLEGES OF EDUCATION STAFF



No fewer than 141 members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, and Non-Academic Staff Union, NASU, in Osun State  owned tertiary institutions have been sacked by the government.

It was gathered that the sacked workers were victims of the on-going controversial restructuring of tertiary institutions in the state.

The two institutions affected by the gale of sack are Osun State College of Education, Ila and Osun State College of Education, Ilesa.

THE N100M I GOT WAS FOR SDP TO SUPPORT GOODLUCK JONATHAN




A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Chief Olu Falae has stated that he collected N100 million from the ex-Chairman, Board of Trustees, BoT, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Tony Anenih.

Chief Olu Falae stated that the money was purely an inter-party affair between the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the Social Democratic Party, SDP, which he is the National Chairman. He further stressed that the money was given to the SDP to campaign for the PDP in the 2015 presidential election, that both parties prior to the 2015 general elections entered into working agreement.

Tony Anenih, in a letter addressed to the Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu had mentioned thatOlu Falae and some former governors were given N100 million each in the build up to the 2015 presidential election.

EX-PDP CHAIRMAN HALIRU BELLO, SON GET N600M BAIL



The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted bail to the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Haliru Bello and his son, Abba, to the tune of N600m.

Justice Ahmed Mohammed ordered the duo to pay N300million each, as well as produce two sureties each, in like sum.

The court maintained that one of the persons to stand surety for Bello must be a Director under the employment of the federal government or any of its agencies, the son was asked to produce someone not below grade level 12 to stand surety for him.

EFCC ARRESTS METUH




Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC today arrested the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh.

The operatives, four in number, came in a white unmarked Toyota Hiace bus and whisked Metuh from his Abuja residence.

The EFCC is probing how Metuh received N1.4 billion from the $2.1 billion arms procurement funds allegedly misappropriated by Ex-NSA Colonel Sambo Dasuki (Rtd).

DASUKI, 4 OTHERS GRANTED BAIL



A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has granted bail to former National Security Adviser, NSA, Sambo Dasuki, and four others standing trial for alleged money laundering and criminal breach of trust.


Others standing trial over a 19-count charge preferred against them include, a former director of finance at the office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu, a former Group General Manager of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Aminu Baba Kusa and two firms, Acacia Holdings Limited and Reliance Reference Hospital.


Justice Husseini Baba Yusuf granted bail to the accused persons on the sum of N250 Million on the condition that they produce a surety each who must be a serving or retired civil servant not lower than the rank of a director.
