Boko Haram Logistics Base Has Been Destroyed - NAF


A Nigerian Air Force’s Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UAV) has destroyed a logistics base used by members of the Boko Haram Terrorists group, the air force said in a statement Tuesday.

The UAV was on intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) mission when it came across the gathering of BHTs at Garin Moloma, about one kilometre north of the Sambisa Forest, spokesperson Ayodele Famuyiwa, a group captain, said.

A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Chief Olu Falae has stated that he collected N100 million from the ex-Chairman, Board of Trustees, BoT, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Tony Anenih.

Chief Olu Falae stated that the money was purely an inter-party affair between the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the Social Democratic Party, SDP, which he is the National Chairman. He further stressed that the money was given to the SDP to campaign for the PDP in the 2015 presidential election, that both parties prior to the 2015 general elections entered into working agreement.

Tony Anenih, in a letter addressed to the Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu had mentioned thatOlu Falae and some former governors were given N100 million each in the build up to the 2015 presidential election.

Nigerian Lawyers Seek Closed Door Trial For Biafran Secessionists


The Federal Government has applied for closed-door trial in the treason charge against Benjamin Onwuka, a lawyer and 11 others, members of the Biafra Zionist Federation, a group campaigning for the secession of eastern Nigeria from Nigeria. The excised territory will be declared as Biafra, like the one declared 48 years ago.

At a resumed hearing on Tuesday at the Federal High Court, Enugu, the prosecuting counsel, Mr David Kaswe, prayed the court to exclude members of the public from further hearing on the matter.
Kaswe said that the application when granted would enable his remaining witnesses to testify in the matter.

He said two of his witnesses that had yet to testify in the matter were not disposed to doing that in the public as they had received threats to their life.

May we travel around the world safely amid all the elements of risk there is?

As much as we can, the travel and tourism industry has witnessed series of misfortune in the past few months from airline crashes to cruise and passenger ship racks, subway collisions along with the rising terrorism treats around the world.

Have a proper documentation of yourself

Go with valid personal and travel documents, make copies of the front page of your passport and keep them within reach in different locations.

Be ready to pay

Notify your bank or credit card company about your travel to avoid embarrassment of your credit card not working.

If you leave without notifying your bank or credit card company, they may shut your card down thinking it has been stolen.

Make yourself track-able

You want to be found in time incase things go wrong, so let the right people know where you are by making sure your family and friends know where you are and how to find you.
