Microsoft Acquires Linkedln for $26.2 Billion in Bid to Control Social Media Market
American multinational technology company Microsoft, has acquired business-oriented career and job networking social media networking site LinkedIn to boost shares in the new media economy.
A lot of things will change now with respect to Job networking, online career/professional training and using your Windows PC. Microsoft, a moment ago announced the successful purchase of Linkedln, giving them access to Linkedln, Lydna.com and a ton of professional/career networking brain-power assets. Expect more locked-in platform ecosystem, and perhaps a lot of Hotmail flying around Linkedln however no one knows yet the full scale of this acquisition and if Microsoft will allow the Linkedln team operate without interference.

FG Frees Social Media as Naira Depreciates to Dollar
We Have No Plan to Regulate Online Media - FG
Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister of information and culture says the Federal Government will not regulate the use of social media in Nigeria.
The Minister urged Online Publications to regulate their activities to ensure credibility and uphold public trust in Social Media.
Mohammed stated this on Friday while addressing Online Publishers in Lagos.
