Microsoft Acquires Linkedln for $26.2 Billion in Bid to Control Social Media Market



American multinational technology company Microsoft, has acquired business-oriented career and job networking social media networking site LinkedIn to boost shares in the new media economy.

A lot of things will change now with respect to Job networking, online career/professional training and using your Windows PC. Microsoft, a moment ago announced the successful purchase of Linkedln, giving them access to Linkedln, Lydna.com and a ton of professional/career networking brain-power assets. Expect more locked-in platform ecosystem, and perhaps a lot of Hotmail flying around Linkedln however no one knows yet the full scale of this acquisition and if Microsoft will allow the Linkedln team operate without interference.

Microsoft is bringing Windows 10 to mobile phones

Continuum is coming to town on Windows 10 phones...

Microsoft is stepping up support for developers in a big way. Besides convincing developers to create Windows apps that can scale from smartphone to tablets and PCs, Microsoft announced that Windows 10 phones would have an Android subsystem that allows them to run Android apps with minimal code changes from developers.

Microsoft is also making it easier for iOS developers to get their apps on Windows 10 phones too.
