French Embassy Increase Commitment to Promote Wildlife Conservation In Nigeria

The French Embassy in Abuja made a commitment to co-host more panal discussions on wildlife conservation and preservation in Nigeria with the Federal Ministry of Environment at an event held on Friday 29th of June 2018, to mark the end of the Nigerian Wildlife and Conservation Week at the Institut français du Nigeria, Abuja.

Nigerian Footballer Sentenced To 8 yrs In Prison For Drug Trafficking


A Nigerian who claimed to be a footballer, Francis Ihenwe Oderah, was on Monday July 4, sentenced in the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, Cambodia to eight years in jail and fined about $10,000 for drugs.

#China Completes World's Largest Ever Radio Telescope To Look For Aliens


Yesterday, China completed construction of the world’s largest radio telescope in Pingtung County, southwest of China’s Guizhou Province.

The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope, or FAST, took roughly five years to complete and cost $180m; initial plans and location reconnaissance began way back in 1994. Its massive reflector, comprised of 4,450 panels covers the same area as 30 football fields.

Personalize Online Ads With Google's New Portal


Google is giving everyone the power to choose the ads you want to see online

Google has launched a new portal you can use to personalize the ads you see, and it has begun notifying users about it through either Chrome or Gmail. You can add topics of interest and your age and gender to see advertisements the cater to you on Search, YouTube and other Google services. But if you don't want to share those info with the big G, you don't have to -- the feature is completely opt in. If you agree to switch it on, you're also giving the company permission to use your Google account activity on its services. That includes giving it permission to keep track of what ads you interact with and to add that info to its new My Activity site.

Nigerian Student Awarded Scholarship In Cyprus After Graduating With First Class


Abubakar Umar, a Nigerian student from Kano state has emerged top in his class at the Near East University in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The student named Abubakar Umar -who has a Diploma in Public Administration from Bayero University Kano (BUK) -emerged with a First Class degree from the popular Cypriot university.

According to reports, he graduated with a GPA of 3.83 and total CGPA of 3.70 out of 4.00. And with this, he has been granted scholarship by the same university to further his education (a Masters degree).

Congratulations to Nigerians in Diaspora who are doing good to uphold the reputation of the country abroad.

Indianapolis Waitress upset over ‘Best Butt’ Award Presented to her by Scotty’s Brewhouse


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-  A woman in Southport says she's offended after receiving an award from her employer for having the "Best Butt" on staff.

The woman, who has asked not to be named, is a waitress at Scotty's Brewhouse in Southport. She says on Monday night, during an event where staff was given awards, she received the accolade in full view of about fifty coworkers.
