French Embassy Increase Commitment to Promote Wildlife Conservation In Nigeria

The French Embassy in Abuja made a commitment to co-host more panal discussions on wildlife conservation and preservation in Nigeria with the Federal Ministry of Environment at an event held on Friday 29th of June 2018, to mark the end of the Nigerian Wildlife and Conservation Week at the Institut français du Nigeria, Abuja.


The event featured presentation and panel discussion with representatives from the Federal Ministry of Environment, Parks Services, Wildlife Conservation Society, NGOs, CSOs, journalist, etc. Who reviewed the status of conservation and wildlife in Nigeria.

Some of the issues discussed at the event include:

Benefits and need to respect and care for other community life in the environment.

Providing better alternatives to people living around conservative areas.

Increased research and collaboration among government and stakeholders.

At the end of the event the French Embassy made a commitment to reconvene stackholders in conjunction the Federal Ministry of Environment.
